I have a spyware on my laptop called cyberlog-x and my virus protection program (McAfee) says it cannot remove it completely. How do I get it off? It’s still messing up my computer’s functions
I can’t really download anything because Internet Explorer closes down pretty quickly if I try to start it

Some nasty things that can get onto your computer which can cause lots of damage are viruses/malware/spyware/adware/trojan horses/worms/bots and the list goes on. Since there are so many things like this, it is only appropriate that you have some antivirus software for protection. The ones I use are:
1. AVG Free 8.0
2. Spybot Search and Destroy
3. Adware 2007
These are all free programs which you can get. When you use them all together, they will get rid of all the stuff you don’t want on your computer. Even if they don’t get rid of the virus the first time you scan your computer, they will the next time you update and scan. I’ve never had any trouble on this computer ever since we’ve had those programs. Make sure you run them often if you want maximum security. Remember, these programs only get rid of viruses once they are on your computer. They don’t prevent you from getting them. I hope this has helped.

Running your program in Windows safe mode generally gets rid of viruses that won’t go away when ran in regular Windows mode.
Hello
try to go to safe mode (press F8 after you switch on the computer, choose safe mode), run your antivirus and delete all viruses, if this doesn’t help and you have important information, remove your hard disk and and connect to another computer and clean it with antivirus, or make back up of all important info and reinstall windows (make quick format of hard dick, so no viruses remain)
Your antivirus program can not remove it because it is spyware, you need a spyware program to remove it, Here is a link that you can click on to download and install this spyware program, I always recomend this program because it does such a good job of protection and detection. (http://www.superantispyware.com) So click on the link to get started, and run a scan right away. This program is free.
Spyware’s annoying, and theres not one program that can remove every type of spyware. I’ve had the best results using AdAware Free… Spybot works nice too but I’ve heard things about it having spyware onboard. Not sure how true that is, but it usually finds stuff and gets it off. Hope one of those works for you.
try using Avast. Its free and works great. http://www.avast.com
Download AVG Free and AVG Spyware remover. For years they have removed all viruses and spyware on my computer and they haven’t failed yet. Best of all, it’s free (doesn’t cost a cent). I have used the pay products in the past and believe it or not, they don’t work well or cause other issues with your PC.
