You have spyware/malware, you need to run a program like spybot search and destroy or spyware blaster, you can find them free on the net, type in on the yahoo search page, spybot search and destroy, free then download it run it, then do the same with spyware blaster, usually you need 2 programs to get rid of stuff. I would also suggest winpatrol too because it lets you see what starts up when your computer starts and you can disable and remove the about program that way too.
Type an internet site.. http://www.whatever.com or what you want in the box and go there… you might also go to internet preferences and change your home page to one you like instead of blank

about:blank is your default page if you choose "Use Blank" for your home page. There’s nothing harmful in it, but if you’d like IE to always pull up another page, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General, and set it there.
