You can go into the start menu and right click to get the delete option. You can also right click on the task bar and click on properties then click on the start menu tab and click on Customize button. There you can do your cleaning and sorting.
Yes, delete each shortcut group one by one, and then when it asks you that the action will affect other users, if you’d like to proceed, say yes.
Ok i understand your Problem…
Befoe i start let me tell you that its no use if you do system cleanup and stuff….
I’ll give you a shortcut….
but you have to do it manually….
First make your way to
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
I’m assuming your windows is installed on your C drive, else go to the drive its installed on and go to that location. It has to be there…
Inside that, all the stuff you see on your all programs will be shown as shortcuts or folders. Just look at it once… you’ll understand whats what and delete what you dont want.
Then… The next time you uninstall something go to Control panel> add and remove programs from that list uninstall all the programs you dont want. If you use this method, it automatically removes all traces of the program, from start menu as well as your registry…
If you right click on the files directly on the start menu, it may or may not come depending upon your settings to display the menu… But if you want to remove alot of shortcuts then the method i taught you will be the fastest…
Else you gotta select every file and delete it individually.
