Mine doesn’t work…when I open it, it rapidly gives me an error and closes. I kind of need it…
Well, unless anyone can recommend a better free software.
Windows Movie Maker isn’t in my Windows Components.

To re install:
Goto Control Panel > Add Remove Programs > Add Remove Windows Components and find Movie Maker in there, untick to remove.
Restart your PC/Laptop do that same again and place the tick in there to re install 🙂
If I’m not mistaken(which I could be) if you are running windows XP then movie maker is part of one of the Service packs and in order to repair/reinstall it you must uninstall then re-install the service pack. Can’t find the info I had on how to do it.
