Windows 2000 to Xp (Clean install) ?

Hi, can anyone please explain why in this site bellow it says that:
"If you are attempting to clean install with a Windows XP Home or Pro Upgrade CD, you will see this screen, which requires you to insert your previous Windows CD in order to verify that you qualify for the Upgrade version. Curiously, it says that you can use CDs from Windows NT 3.51 and Windows 95 in addition to those from 98, 98 SE, Millennium, or 2000, though these products cannot be upgraded to XP. Once you’ve proven that you qualify, hit ENTER to continue." http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sg_clean.asp
So does this mean that if i want to update my windows from 2000 to Xp i will need a previous windows CD ? I read somewhere else that only a Windows Xp CD will do, thats why i am really confused…

I have a SeaGate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500620AS 500gb hard drive that is not working. It is not detected in bios anymore. Ok, I need to send it for repair to HP, but it contains Windows 7 7600 Build 16385 RTM OS and other programs, music, and mp3? Will I get in trouble?

Computer system requirements for HD filmmaking?

I would like to start a filmmaking career, I’m planning in getting the JVC HD200 Pro camera, but i’m not sure what kind of computer equipment to get in order to edit my project. I would like to use a good editing software maybe Vegas and use After Effects. Can some body point me in the right direction?
Don’t mind the cost, I need to know what I need.

anyone know how to fix a slow computer that stalls?

My computer (Inspiron 5100 running XP) boots very slowly then on occassion just stalls …moving the mouse works fine but clicking on anything results in no action till often a minute later … then it seems fine again for a bit … looking at the task manager, the cpu is only 3% utilized so it’s not like there is an app hogging the machine. I have run ccleaner and abexo and ad-aware and they have not fixed the issue …. anyone with any sugeestions?
