i think i have a virus in my pc as all my restore points are gone. how can i manually restore the reg or fix a corrupted reg if there are no available restoration points.can i save it somewhere other than c drive as most virus attacks that drive.

sorry bud. but you can download antivirus program. personally i use comodo internet security. it has virus protection and it has a great firewall. better than any other out there. trust me. just download it and run the virus scanner. you can also download comodo registry fix. it cleans up the errors in your registry. hope this helps
in safe mode F8 run malwarebytes anti-malware and SUPERAntispyware,and what they find you
delete it manually. then run ccleaner to clean your pc, and mvregclean, to clean registry.
what mvregclean find you remove because the key is there but not the file ,folder or program.
even you reformat and it finds anything remove dont be afraid.
dont forget when you install this software to update them, and do an update every day
