Couldnt figure out how to edit or ammend my first question, so … Computer is a Dell Dimension 4600. Loaded all original Software onto new Hard Drive. Diagnostics says all is ok. Connection Wizard cant find any DRIVERS on computer. otherwise, everything else works fine that I go into. I’ve reloaded software and ran "repairs", and still no luck.
I have repeatedly put in the drivers disc and OS disc and even started over and STILL cannot get it to work. Am really lost here.

Check if the modem driver is installed then click on the driver when the menu opens click on modem then click diagnose them query and see if the modem responds it should open menu and show you details of the modem, if did not open you have to update the driver.
What is your question? If you have all of your drivers installed and are trying to connect to the ‘net on a dialup modem, then you still have to go in and setup the Dialup account. Sometimes your ISP will send you a CD that sets this up for you. It will not just come back from re-installing Windows and the drivers.
I am not sure if this is the question, or if you have a driver question. Can you be more specific ?
Modem = is for dial up
Check for Network Drivers.
enter you dell computer info here and download the latest network drivers:

Go to control panel, system, and click the hardware tab. Check under device manager for a network card, and/or a device under the uknown section. Sounds like the drivers for you network card have not been installed. If you see the pci device that is under unknown, double click on and and click reinstall drivers. If you installed the drivers for the NIC, then it may find them this time. You might have to point it to where your drivers are…usuall under c:/dell/drivers.
