Do you know of any FREEEEEEE programs out there that will repair things on the computer. I’m trying new antiviruses but if that isn’t the problem then maybe something else is. What can I do?
I want a computer repair such as machanic not an anti spy. Everything that I have run so far has said that there is no spyware and no viruses. The problem must be something else. I already have the programs that are listed in the answers so far.

I just gotten over an issue with trojans and malware on my computer so i installed an anti spy program( super anti-spy) but i noticed i still had issues with unknown pop-ups on my browser so i also downloaded an anti-malware(Malware Bytes)
and after finally getting my computer clean i think i also erased some very imporatant registry keys needed to run my windows xp and certain websites properly..do i have to go to a computer specialist?

Hi to you 750 rider, you are wrong, totally, I run all of these on my own pc, and I advise others to run it as well, it’s very good, I can vouch for that and I am an IT practitioner with long experience, and I know my onions.
Hi Rich, well I never had to do anything like that, this is the configuration I run now, and have done for a while. I stopped running it for a couple of weeks trying out other stuff, and my pc got root kit(which I got rid of with Panda) , and loadsa other c**p so I went back to the above and it runs well. Totally pleased with it.
I use XP and don’t like Vista, maybe that’s why it runs better…..

I was trying out McCafee Anti-Virus software, but saw BT Yahoo free software by Computer Associates, I removed the McCafee Virus software and tried to load your CA software but nothing happens! (The anti spy works & Mail Protection) I have clean my registry with PC tools and restarted my PC a number of times I have downloaded the Software form the site Numerous times But the soft ware still says "Install now" I would be most pleased to here what I am doing wrong? Just to inform you I have worked with computers for over twenty years. Therefore, I’m not a novice; you don’t have to be gentle with me. I have Zone alarms firewall install and am running XP pro (Pack 2)
Not only that, I need Virus Protection, anti spy, and firewall. I've been using the suite that is included with ATT Yahoo DSL but I need a different one because I purchased a new computer with Vista and they dont support Vista (and won't until at least August). Preinstalled on my computer I have a free trial of Norton but I was not happy with them on my last computer because I felt they take up too much memory. Give me some suggestions and why. I need the works but they don't have to be from the same provider. I was leaning toward computer associates but tell me what you think.
