Is this a scam? It is similar to others but not as cut-n-paste as they are.

Also if it is a scam how does it work?

its the light up keys above the keyboard, the play/pause work but the one next to the power button does not work and i need help programming. i think it involves going into the registry

I have an older Dell Latitude & I have been having a lot of problems with it. I have WipeDrive v5, but I’m worried if I run this I will lose Windows XP. I can’t find my Windows software either. I don’t understand how these programs work, but I’m tired of my computer running slow, having network problems, etc. I’ve upgraded the memory, and there’s more than plenty available for processes. I have to use a wireless card, which is new, and I know my router/signal is fine, because my other laptop works fine. Also, there’s 2 diagonal lines of keys on my keyboard that don’t type the letters & my mouse likes to go up to the corner of the screen & when I try to move it back down, it takes off away from me again. I need some computer advice, please! I don’t have money to take it for repairs, but I don’t want to make it any worse.

I want to have enough stuff on hand in my van that I don’t need to drive down to Frys when a customer needs a part. I will be mostly doing home and small business stuff.

I figure I will get the we got this computer and need to get on the internet, get wireless, etcetera.
I saw a million years ago in a Maximum PC what they felt a tech should have with them. But I can’t find it.
I don’t have a lot of money, but want to be prepared. Any ideas of software stuff I might need? Virus/Spyware softeware. Diagnostic stuff? I figure a USB/Firewire external drive for backups and transfer. USB cables, firewire cables, ethernet cables, cable tester, USB mouse and keyboard, PS2 mouse and keyboard. Canned air, blah, blah. Any other ideas?
Do you guys have them sign a waiver before working on their computer, in case there is data loss, or the computer gets fried?
I worked in a box store before this so I always had access to stuff.

I need a laptop to surf the internet , play small games (I dont play many games on my computer, I have a xbox 360 to play games on.) I will use microsoft word for doing my homework. Here are the specs =.
