Is this a scam? It is similar to others but not as cut-n-paste as they are.
Also if it is a scam how does it work?

6 Laptop Cleaning of the keyboard, screen and other case.
7 Diagnostics of the entire system after to check hard, cdrom, floppy,etc. Get back to me with your total cost for the services of 7 units.I will pay you with acertified check . (I am located in Utah). I await your urgent responseso that i can make shipping arrangements and payment as soon as possible=================

its a scam dude dont trust it
If he is going to ship you hardware, you have that as collateral until his check clears I’d say go for it. just be safe and cover your butt, take pictures of the equipment when it comes in to document the condition.

I have received one similar to this 3 weeks ago..
If they really needed your help they would have given a phone number at the very least…If you give them your address they’ll start sending you their own bills and crap of that sort.
give a higher quote than normal
something like 200$ per PC or 80$ per hour + tax.
if they agree then it is scam
then they will send you LOTS OF EXTRA stolen money via a hacked account. then they will ask you to return the extra to an address in nigeria
