After installing new updates I restarted my computer and I got a msg saying windows failed to start a recent hardware of software change might be the cause and it told me to put in my Windows Vista disc and "repair my computer" so I did. Then I got an error msg saying "The instruction at 0x73c7060 referenced memory at 0x000000000. THe memory could not be read" So now my computer doesn’t do a thing. THis is the second problem I have had with windows in the past three days. Do I need to buy a new computer?! What is the problem?! Any ideas!? I also tried reinstalling windows vista but it just said "To use the product Key you have entered, start the instalation from your existing version of windows" which I can’t do because WINDOWS FAILED TO START!

Thanks for any help anyone can give me

I recently bought a virus protection program for my computer. I am about to buy my son a new computer, (both dell’s) can I use my virus software on both computers without having to pay for it twice? (pay another annual fee). Or does it go by individual computers?
I bought a new dell and it came with a free 30 or 60 trial of their virus protection, I bought the program after the trial time. The other new computer is coming next week. I really don’t think I should have to pay for this twice.

Not only that, I need Virus Protection, anti spy, and firewall. I've been using the suite that is included with ATT Yahoo DSL but I need a different one because I purchased a new computer with Vista and they dont support Vista (and won't until at least August). Preinstalled on my computer I have a free trial of Norton but I was not happy with them on my last computer because I felt they take up too much memory. Give me some suggestions and why. I need the works but they don't have to be from the same provider. I was leaning toward computer associates but tell me what you think.

I have an HP Pavilion 513n with windows xp and it's SOOOOOO SLOW! I want to speed it up and everything on it is useless junk, because we have a new computer, but I don't want to install the sims 2 on mt new computer. will completely deleting everything on the old computer speed it up much? If so, any tips on how to delete everything?

On my old computer (an emachine), I had an icon on my desktop called “Disk Cleaner” where I can delete files on my computer but I don’t have disk cleaner on my new computer (a Dell). Is there another program on my new computer that is similar to disk cleaner so I can delete old files and stuff and clean my computer?
