My XP start menu and toolbar has gone from blue to an old style grey colour and old style look. Help please?

I have just done a registry clean up and now my task bar and start menu have gone grey, like an old style toolbar. Anyone got any help please. I

Is it okay to perform a repair installation to fix this problem?

Well these are the probelms I have with my windows.
1. The help and support sevice does not work. I have tried to run it manually but no success.
2. In the task bar and start menu properties when i open the advanced tab there is not option saying show my recent documents folder.
3. In the add/remove programs It does not show the list of softwares installed.
should I perform a repair installation?. Or should I uninstall windows and then reinstall?
Please Help. 🙂

I just wiped my computer clean, installed windows xp, but I’m missing the cd that installs the drivers!?

I dont know what to do, the start menu is pretty empty, everything is weird looking, I urgently need the computer to be able to go on the internet, I dont know how to get the wireless internet installed or going. Does anyone know what I should do? Is there anyway to get the wireless internet on? Like a website that has the drivers and apps I need? Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks alot!!!!

More and more when I try to connect to the internet I keep getting pop-up's that there are fatal error's in my registry from all types of places such as fixmyregistry.com, www.windowsregistrycleaner.com. I don't have a credit card so what is the best safe freeware or shareware? Should I pay attention to these pop_ups? Everytime they come up they keep me from connecting to the internet and force me to use ctr+alt+del to restart my computer because I cannot access my start menu (the little hour glass shows when I go to it) HELP!
