It takes me where you type a user name; But right after I click on it, it takes right to the same place (the user name). This happens right after i was trying to get rid of some viruses.

I clean up the registry and run anti-virus program to get rid of the virus, but now, i have this problem. Probably is a boot file that is missing, but do do i know which it is?

And then, how do i log in and install it – It wont let me log in.

Ok, so here is my problem. I was on myspace looking at a music artists’ photos, when all of a sudden, my anti virus program (Avast) pops up and tells me a whole bunch of viruses are invading my computer. After this occurrence, my internet has been really messed up.

So over the past 5 days or so, I have been virus scanning my entire computer about 10 times, and my anti virus cannot find any more viruses. I have also done anti-spyware scans and I have eliminated a bunch of spyware, too.

When I say my internet has been really messed up, I mean this: My anti virus’ script blocker and all of the other blockers are on their highest settings along with Firefox’s pop-up blocker, and I still get pop-ups, something I have almost never gotten before.

Besides this, when I try to visit websites, my Firefox error console gets riddled with error messages telling me it doesn’t recognize or can’t read a certain part of a website and it says "Declaration dropped."

Also, when I tried to install a registry clean up software, I got a message saying it wasn’t a valid Win32 application or something of that sort. I eventually got one installed, but my internet hasn’t shown any signs of improving.

By the way, when I typed in Firefox’s website to try to re-install it, the website wouldn’t load. It just wouldn’t. Also, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer aren’t any faster.

My computer can still play video games and do almost everything else that doesn’t include the internet just fine, but my internet is just so messed up.

Can someone please help me? My computer internet has never acted this way.

Thank you!!!!!!!!

A Registry Mechanic (installed on my Desktop) scan showed 24 shared DLL’s, 75 Temporary/Shortcut and 14 Deep Scan problems/errors. Unfortunately, I’m not a computer nerd and so, I don’t know what all that stuff means. I haven’t purchased it (Registry Mechanic/PC Tools), yet. I don’t know what a computer "registry" is.

I’m also receiving prompts telling me I have both application and stop (and some other type of error I don’t remember) errors.

My computer’s security programs consist of the following freeware: Ad-Aware SE Personal; Spybot Search & Destroy, and SpywareBlaster for malware/anti-spyware purposes; and for a firewall, ZoneAlarm.

I have an unpurchased/not registered Spy Sweeper (Webroot) on my Desktop which I use for scan purposes.

My only registered/purchased (anti-virus) program is AVG Professional, from Czechoslovakia, and I’m in the last year of their two-year program. I have no big complaints about them. If there’s a better one, I’m not aware of it

HELP

I’ve downloaded Counter spy, have a virus program, ad-aware etc. etc. Also have removed this from cache, but it keeps on coming back.

So. The cable guy came over to fix our internet connection, because it wasn’t working since we came back from vacation. He went on my laptop in the living room and the pointer went haywire (I don’t have a mouse, it’s just a touch pad). He said, "Looks like you have a trojan" and I was like whatever. That was the first time it happened.. but now it’s happening more often. And now I can’t connect to the internet, even when I’m right next to the signal thingy.Sorry if I’m vague and non-descriptive but I don’t know much about routers and stuff.. so here goes.
There are 3 computers in the house. 2 have wireless connection and 1 is wired. We don’t have dial-up, and we the company that gives us our internet is the same as the one that gives us cable and phone connection. My mom’s computer works fine in my room but my laptop doesn’t (they’re both wireless). The black rectangular prism shaped box by my sister’s computer with the blinking lights that say cable, send, receive and power (among others) is brand Scientific Atlanta and is model DPR2320R2. It also says cable modem/gateway. The signal thingy that is connected to it is D-Link. Also, the internet connection detection thing in the bar in the bottom right corner on my laptop says that my wireless internet connection is excellent, but even then I can’t view any pages in Firefox. I ran a virus scan but all I found was something with Win32 in it, and the virus program couldn’t remove it.. Right now I’m running trend micro house call (online virus scanner). If it helps, I defragged my computer this morning after running Eusing’s free registry cleaner (380 problems detected). I’m really sorry if this isn’t enough information, just ask if you need any more. Thank you 🙂
