What is the best anti-virus protection for your computer?
I've been told the NORTON internet security and/or NORTON 360 protection are the best. Does anyone have anything better?

It's better to stop thinking "antivirus" programs will protect you.
Instead you should:
1. Set up and use almost exclusively a limited user account.

2. Google the phrase "social engineering" and read the first five results.

3. Install Windows updates automatically.

4. Use Firefox with the NoScript extension.

5. Turn off autorun in Windows:

I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, I have recently added superantispyware and Malwarebytes. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I have just upgraded to AVG free 8.0 and all seems good so far. Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from http://www.download.com/ I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
I‘m using avast home edition and spyware cease.
Thy don't take up so much resource.
Avast just as good as Norton and lighter on computer recourses and it's free so why pay for something that is just as good or better when you can get it free? read the reviews and D/L here
