I have Windows Vista Home Premium. My computer has become very slow. I know this is because of my registry, because I uninstalled most of my slow programs, and my computer still isn’t running the way it should. Where can I find a high quality registry cleaner that will get deep down into my system and fix it, but won’t get deep down into my pocket and empty it. In other words, where can I find this registry cleaner for free? Also, what do you recommend?
Please no answers for free points, because I will report them. Also, do not answer with an "I don’t know" unless you have some valuable information following it.

Thank you for recommending ccleaner. Since you are the second person to recommend it, I have more of a reason to try it.

I use a free program called CCleaner. Not only does it scan for garbage files but all scans your registry.
I also recommened Revo uninstaller to uninstall unwanted apps instead of using Windows Add/Remove programs.
Ccleaner at

It cleans out not only the registry but all of the other garbage that clogs up your system. I’ve used it for several years and it works well.
