When I use my Cannon scanner with my Dell laptop I can scan about 13 images before the computer crashes and won’t allow any more scans.
My standard specs for scanning are:
Tiff file type
300 dpi resolution
output = 8 inches wide
greyscale
I alwaysI have to reboot. I have deleted the temporary internet files and done a disk clean up (Windows XP), but it still will crash.
Are there other settings I can use on the computer so it doesn’t hold on to the temporary files?
Is that what’s making it crash?

check your ram …if u dont have enough it will crash….also if u have enough ram clean out your cookies in internet options …disk clean up and defrag…..also make sure u are using the scanner right
do this:
1. check the space avilable in your hard disk.
2. try to scan the images 10 each time.
if you have a good space to load the images and you do not any problem to scan 10 images then the reson that your computer crashes is the memory "you have to change the memory in your computer.
thats happend with me when i load images and need the high memory (ram) in my computer system.
