i think this happened after i installed a game, but i uninstalled it again and it hasnt changed the speed of the startup, its still slow.
BTW I ALWAYS PERFORM DISK DEFRAGMENTER, REGISTRY DEFRAGMENTER, DISK CLEANER, REGISTRY CLEANER, AND VIRUS SCANNING. I HAVE ALSO DISABLED EVERYTHING FROM "MSCONFIG" EXCEPT FOR MY INTERNET SECURITY.
the shut down and running is still good, but its only the startup so why has my pc slowed down?? please help!!
oh yeah and i have also disabled many services that i dont need.

First, Vista blows. Very bloaty.
That being said, even though you uninstalled the game it may have left residue behind. Install it again and use Revo Uninstaller to remove it (it will do a much more thorough job):

Are you using Vista’s built-in defrag? Try using one that actually works:
http://www.diskeeper.com/defrag.asp
You’ll have to pay for it but it’s worth it.
And finally, what are you using for internet security? Something from MS? Bloaty. Norton? Bloaty.
I use SpyBot (free) for spyware:

and AVG (free) for virus protection:

Hope that helps.
