Hi,
I wanted to boot my pc but when the windows loader (horizontal scroll bar thing) starts i loads for 1 second and then it shows a blue screen with errors. I can’t see what is written on the error message because it only shows up for less than a half a second and then the pc reboots.
I tried using repair but it will not load either. The pc doesn’t do anything when a highlight that option and press enter.
I have not recently installed software or hardware. I did a few days ago unistall some programs but they were not windows programs. Just adobe software. But when i had uninstalled those i rebooted a few times and everything worked normally.
Please help ….
I don’t have a widows vista cd because the pc came preinstalled with vista. I rather not install a new os or format the drive because there are important files (and programs) on it.
Please could you tell me exactly the steps because i am not really a hard ware guy.
I’ve been able to make a picture of the bsod.

XP pro is getting phased out anyway so not much programs will be compatible with it, since all the programs are aimed at Vista, so go and get it before it’s phased out…
Just kidding, but I am serious about the phased out part.
My computer did this and I found out that the motherboard is fried, but I’m not sure about yours.
Try reinstalling the operating system.
Get XP Pro 🙂
If you have your Vista disc then boot to it – get to the "repair" section, I believe, and do a system restore.
You should have restore points saved in there. Vista does them automatically when it updates.
If that doesn’t work then it looks like you’ll have to reinstall. Luckily the Vista installer is a breeze and it finds most of your drivers for you. Only thing that is a pain is updating back to current.
edit – boot to your utility partition on your hard drive (or however you were accessing repair before) I just read you don’t have the disc. Look for the system restore option.
edit 2 – just google "vista boot system restore" it will tell you how to access the option…then just get back to the repair like you did before and follow the steps.
