I am looking from the Computer Technician point of view to cover his or her but. If a customer bring in a computer got illegal software and give you all the keys and you are not the one doing the illegal stuff but you are the one is fixing it. My question is it alright to work on it and fix it. Or you cant fix it because it got illegal software on. Or what.
Did I said CAN AN COMPUTER TECHNICIAN.

Hi, I’m a service tech for software and digital systems (medium level nerd wizard, I still have alot to learn)

I have a situation where the internet works after bootup, obtains an IP address automaticaly for the ISP, the internet connection is through a high speed DLS modem.

When the internet is working, I checked the IP address and noted it. After hibernation, the IP has changed (all four value) and it is out of range. The subnet mask has also changed, and of course the gateway.

I tried the usual diagnostic processes, checked my internet settings, repaired connection, disabled/enabled connection, ipconfig /release followed by ipconfig /renew, all with no success. In a moment of desperation I even tried to define the IP address manually within the old range, that does not work either.

I have read the similar questions on this issue, and most of the answers included changing settings so the computer does not hibernate or hibernates less frequently. In this case, that is not going to be a satisfactory solution to my problem.

I just created my yahoo answers account, so I probably dont deserve any help, but if one of you genuises can help me out here, I promise to re-contribute to the good karma fund, and to smile and be nice to everyone I see for the rest of the day. *tailgaters and idiot drivers not included.

Thanks for reading.

Alright, I am really broke right now and I need my laptop for school. i was just wondering if there is anywhere that could at least tell me what is wrong. It’s a hardware problem, not a software problem. I’ve tried everything and the stupid company (Dell) refuses to help unless i pay them like two hundred dallors and that isn’t for fixing it, that’s for seeing what is wrong and i bought the computer brand new off the market from their company website.
Dell is a horrible place to buy computers and their computers stink, I’m never buying them again. But I need to use it to finish school really bad. Thanks anyone, if you know where any online printable coupons or anything like that is i would greatly appreicate it. Thanks and God Bless.

I am simply interested in computer/software programming simply because it is a great skill to have, but I don’t want a degree in it seeing as how I’m a senior in college fixing to graduate.

If so what is the best method of learning programming languages and systems?

And also what kind of computer is most used because I have a Powerbook G4 and I am definitely looking at the new Macbook’s because of their ability to run Windows.

Thanks for the help!
