I recovered a bunch of pictures from a flash drive using the software "PC inspector", and I actually see them in windows explorer (thumbnails) but when I tried to open, says: "Drawing Failed". Any one can help me with this?…
thanks!.

Okay we have a program that has recently started to act up and we decided the simplest course is to remove it and than reinstall it. We did that, but apparently XP pro remembers it because it kept the same compatibly mode for it.

Would a registry cleaner like CCleaner solve all this?

Right my mates windows wont startup. It starts in the screen which says "start windows normally, safe mode, last good configuration".

He says the computer restarts after the windows loading screen , whichever option he chooses.

He did not reinstall any hardware yesterday (when it was working )

the only software he can think of that was installed was his dad installing a media player or something so he could listen to BBC radio 1, through the site.

Thats all the information I’ve got, ive advised repairing his windows installation/reinstalling windows, but have you lot got any better suggestions?
This is windows XP by the way 🙂
He cant do system restore….because windows wont startup
Anyone else available for answer?

the first answer just stated that he couldnt do anything else, and the second didnt know what they were talking about/hadnt read the question 🙁

Okay, whenever I open up certain programs, I get the error message:

[Program Name] – Entry Point Not Found

"The procedure entry point CsrNewThread could not be located in the dynamic library entry ntdll.dll."

My OS is Windows Vista 64-bit. I CAN’T run any registry cleaners, so do NOT suggest them.

I’m looking for more of a manual fix. Like downloading the ntdll.dll file and placing it where it needs to go for example in folders like:
System32
SysWOW64

I’ve already tried both of those, are there any other locations where ntdll.dll needs to be?

Other info will also be helpful, such as more information about CsrNewThread, I know nothing of its purpose or whether it has a location on my laptop.

I have a dell inspiron e1505 with windows xp.
Looking for software and the best place to get it.
