Hi, I've just got a new Acer Aspire 5672wlmi which didn't have any recovery or driver CDs. I clean installed Windows XP on a newly formatted hard drive.

For some reason, the computer can't detect the modem, sound card or wireless adapter. I've checked on the Acer website and it says this laptop has these devices. Just wondering if this is normal? Do we need to install the drivers for the computer to recognise the devices? I'm so confused…

How do i speed up my computers performance? Im running windows vista home premium with 854 mb RAM and i wanna run battlefield 2142 faster without buying and shoving more RAM into my computer

Registry Cleaner is a member of a broad class of pesky, bogus antivirus programs.
This tool actually removes the whole family:

This tool removes Desktop Hijack malware: AdwarePunisher, AdwareSheriff, AlphaCleaner, Antispyware Soldier, AntiVermins, AntiVerminser, AntivirusGolden, AVGold, BraveSentry, MalwareWipe, MalwareWiped, MalwareWipePro, MalwareWiper, PestCapture, PestTrap, PSGuard, quicknavigate.com, Registry Cleaner, Security iGuard, Smitfraud, SpyAxe, SpyFalcon, SpyGuard, SpyHeal, SpySheriff, SpySoldier, Spyware Vanisher, Spyware Soft Stop, SpywareQuake, SpywareKnight, SpywareSheriff, SpywareStrike, Startsearches.net, TitanShield Antispyware, Trust Cleaner, UpdateSearches.com, Virtual Maid, VirusBlast, VirusBurst, Win32.puper, WinHound,

The laptop has 3 GB of RAM and a 32-bit operating system. The computer has already been defraged(no speed difference after defrag), scaned for viruses(none found), the temporary files and browsing history has been deleted and the computer is still running slow. What else could be done to make it a bit faster? It takes like 10-15 min to fully load the computer when it has been turned on and 5 min. for a internet page to load

I bought new software yesterday for my computer but am unable to install it because I get an error code #41 in the CD-Rom drive (Windows XP). Is there a way I can fix this myself without having to pay over 0 for a computer repair person to do it?
