Every one I use finds 120 items, but will only fix like 10 or 20. Is this something I should be concerned about & try to fix? I heard it’s not good to mess w/ your registry, especially without making a back up first?
is the “Registry Cleaner for Windows Recommended download” a virus?
the icon just randomly showed up on my desktop and led me to the site below:
http://adserver.softwareonline.com/PrimaryLanding/landingaro.aspx?Referrer=w1-A12intlicon-aro&cm_mmc=Windsor-_-INTL-_-Icon-_-Icon%3A%20Other%3A%20A12%3A%20usicon%3A%20aro
and then asked me to download and run the software…has anyone else seen this icon before on their computer?
Spyware Doctor, Webroot, Spybot S&D; I was told all were free, but after I scan my computer with them, they say I need to pay and register before it will remove them! Is there any program that removes it for free, with no registration required?
I’m trying to fix a few problems, and I’ve tried a few different scan programs, (Registry Booster & Registry Mechanic) but the shareware trials are scan only. in order to repair the errors, you have to buy the program.
anyways, the scans are turning up over a thousand errors. so i obviously need to do this.
also, I’m running windows xp
thanks for your help
Yahoo email SPAM complaint letter.Fwd on if u too r sick of NO spam filters using Yahoo free email service!?
Anyone feel free to copy this below letter and forward to Yahoo customer service at: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/forms_index.html
To whom it may concern at Yahoo’s free e-mail customer service:
The time has come to finally consider upgrading your spam diagnostics software on the FREE e-mail accounts too, and not just the petty /year premium e-mail service. Yahoo e-mail does a HORRIBLE job filtering spam from my inbox & this has ongoing problem for YEARS & YEARS.
The reporting of spam to Yahoo over and over has resulted in zero benefits of alleviating the problem. I continue to receive several hundred e-mails, that are CLEARLY SPAM before even reading it, a month at my personal Yahoo e-mail address. Most of which spam is written in the exact same format or wording. It is so ridiculous your spam filters do not catch it!?!?!?!
You are making the decision very easy for me, a user of Yahoo email and MyYahoo home page since I have owned a computer, to finally consider moving to using Google’s home page/Gmail or Hotmail’s free services. Of the hundreds/thousand people I know, there is maybe five (5) TOTAL that still use Yahoo. That’s it… maybe 5!!! Easily > 90% have switched to using Gmail or Hotmail, as did their advertising revenue $$$$$ as well, long ago because of this spam issue with your service.
When are you finally going to do something, anything about upgrading the spam filtering for Yahoo FREE e-mail accounts????
Regards,
