I have a different video camera that I connected to the computer with the same cable, and the computer would not recognize that camcorder either. However, I have connected both camcorders to my VCR with the same firewire cable and had no problems. I also connected the other camcorder to another computer with the same firewire cable and had no problems. Therefore, I believe it's the computer, either the port itself or the software. I called Dell and they said walked me through a diagnostics test and they said it wasn't the firewire PORT, but it was a software issue…I have connected this DV camera to this computer before, so I know it'll work, but I don't know what seems to be blocking it. Any suggestions?

How do I clean up files on my new Dell computer?
On my old computer (an emachine), I had an icon on my desktop called “Disk Cleaner” where I can delete files on my computer but I don’t have disk cleaner on my new computer (a Dell). Is there another program on my new computer that is similar to disk cleaner so I can delete old files and stuff and clean my computer?
A good program to help clean up a slow computer?
I have had my computer for about 3 years and it is becoming slow because of registry errors and things of that nature. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a program that can help and clean up computer? I have a dell and I on XP. Thanks in advance.
