I bought and installed a Registry Cleaner (RegCure), but I still get that message and can’t access Malware, which is brand new. Never had this happen before. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I keep getting a box that says “Runtime Error” when I try opening my Malware virus scan.?
in my experience in computing i found that there are viruses (in this case malware) that make your system show a fake windos error prompt (usually telling you that there is spyware or viruses in the computer although there isn't) and that you need to download the offered software (in which i find suspicous windows doesn't just offer free software through an error prompt for free) and i also found out that if you try to click don't install is triggers virus installation and if you click the X in the corner it will also trigger a virus installation
it downloads rogue software that automatically installs itself into your comuter (it is malware that disquises itself as a spyware protection program, virus protection program, or a registry cleaner) and acts as it is scanning your system and shows fake threats and says that if you want to get rid of them you have to buy there product.
how do you cancell these you whenever you encounter a promt that seems like it will download one
How do I reformat/ Wipe EVERYTHING off of my harddrive and start clean with Windows XP?
Whatever kind of malware I have, it's not getting removed. I don't want to find my system restore discs or my XP disc, so is their a way through windows XP I can do a full destructive recovery? And still have XP after? Thanks!
Whats the best freeware for Antivirus, Antispy, Antitrojan, and Registry Cleaner for my slow CPU.?
Have used: AVG, AVIRA, ADWARE, CCLEANER, CYBERDEFENDER, EUSING and others. But my comp is still slow. I think I might have downloaded something infected or downloaded some malware and I don't know how to get rid of it.
registry patrol = malware?
all right – i use spybot s&d to clean my computer, but i also use registry patrol to keep my registry intact, mainly because it saves backups if something goes wrong. i updated and scanned today and spybot identified registry patrol as malware – it said it disguised itself as a registry cleaner and labeled small problems as high risk. it's never been identified before, and other people using it don't seem to have this problem. is it malware? i removed it just in case, but if it's not, i can restore it.
