I want to have enough stuff on hand in my van that I don’t need to drive down to Frys when a customer needs a part. I will be mostly doing home and small business stuff.

I figure I will get the we got this computer and need to get on the internet, get wireless, etcetera.
I saw a million years ago in a Maximum PC what they felt a tech should have with them. But I can’t find it.
I don’t have a lot of money, but want to be prepared. Any ideas of software stuff I might need? Virus/Spyware softeware. Diagnostic stuff? I figure a USB/Firewire external drive for backups and transfer. USB cables, firewire cables, ethernet cables, cable tester, USB mouse and keyboard, PS2 mouse and keyboard. Canned air, blah, blah. Any other ideas?
Do you guys have them sign a waiver before working on their computer, in case there is data loss, or the computer gets fried?
I worked in a box store before this so I always had access to stuff.

i want to start my computer without waiting over 1 hour it needs a clean up id like it for free as money is tight an so am i thank you g

i was just online one day and turned off my computer and the next time i logged on to my user it says "you may be a victim of software counterfitting". I have no idea what this means, is there anyway i can make the message go without spending any money or going to a computer repair shop? I tried clicking on resolve now but it went to windows . com and said i had to buy something for £100 🙁

iv used CC Cleaner and tried various registry cleaners, but they only scan the computer, tell me how many errors i have and then dont clean them! they want money of course…so annoying lol help

I have been having sever data corruption issues with the game World of warcraft. i have run every diagnostic software known to me including checkdisk (windows xp sp3) Microsoft’s memory diagnostic tool and seagates hard drive diagnostic tool both windows and bootable CD versions and every diagnostic comes back squeaky Clean and ive even swapped my ram entirely. I have done a full system restore on my computer and i still cant get a stable install which leads me to believe i have a hard drive issue yet it passes every test. so basically my question is as stated above, is it possible for a hard drive to be going bad yet not fail diagnostics. If so is there any way to verify or at least gather further evidence that its the hard drive before i spend money on a new hard drive. (note it appears as if only world of warcraft is currently effected, i suspect its highly complicated file system is more likely to be damaged by a failing hard drive)
i have installed all patches and all blizz will tell me is its a hard drive issue or a ram issue. and it cant be a virus as i JUST reformatted my hard drive. i have also updated every driver in my system. and while its not a data coruption issue limewire shuts down when i attempt to preview a file
