How can you tell what type of Virus Protection program you have?

I know I have virus protection on my computer. I think it is Norton, but I bought this computer from someone, so I don’t know which one I have?

How do I list an exception when Windows Registry cleaner is performed?

I have a beautiful CD/DVD burning program, and it has been suggested to me that because I’m getting the message "Trial Period Is Expired", it’s very likely because an anti-virus program or Registry Cleaner is removing the program when it cleans. How do I list the exception in Norton’s Systemworks so it doesn’t clean the Registry thereby removing my program? I also have CC Cleaner, and can list the exception in there.
Must I ‘uncheck’ the windows registry scanner in the Systemworks?
When the Registry Cleaner is working, does it just clean, or does it correct errors?? I’m confused and would appreciate any help offered. Thanks in advance.

Need help with cleaning malware?

Hi… i am having problem with malware… whenever i open a website, the browser will automatically redirect to another website (x.cruze3.cn) then the internet security will prompt and say the website is malicius and it will stop connecting to the server. Basically i cannot connect and surf the net using my laptop. It happens to both IE and Google Chrome. I tried to reset the IE setting, clean up all file, run anti virus, clean and fix the registry, do the hijackthis. But any of this cannot make things right, Anti-virus and anti-spyware can’t even dectect it. But the problem still exist. I have no idea what else can i do. Have any of you guys experience this proble,. Plase let me know any anti virus software that. I have tried AVGpro, Norton, Nod32 , spybot, Ad-aware, .. .

What do you think is the best Virus Protection on the market?

Not only that, I need Virus Protection, anti spy, and firewall. I've been using the suite that is included with ATT Yahoo DSL but I need a different one because I purchased a new computer with Vista and they dont support Vista (and won't until at least August). Preinstalled on my computer I have a free trial of Norton but I was not happy with them on my last computer because I felt they take up too much memory. Give me some suggestions and why. I need the works but they don't have to be from the same provider. I was leaning toward computer associates but tell me what you think.

i’m running windows XP SP2. have this spyware/malware which cn’t get rid off. its rewrite the registry. help!?

i used spybot, superantispyware, run norton and AVG. still there. malware/spyware or maybe a trogan tries to undo what I've done on the registry to clean up a dll file called kapekabo.dll. thx.
