I am having problems with Windows XP SP3. Operating System restarts automatically without pressing restart or Automatic Updates. Norton Security Scan-NO VIRUS (SAFE) Lavasoft Adware-Safe, Registry Cleaner-Clean.
What could be the problem and how to solve?
Vista running horribly slow, will Registry Cleaner fix it?

I am a Mac Guy; know nothing about Windows…..
My Wife’s laptop is doing some STRANGE stuff:
* Takes up to 20 minutes to boot up
* Browsers are giving me annoying CERTIFICATE ACCEPTION errors on about 95% of the sites I try to visit
* Very slow performance in general
* Time & Date keeps jumping back to random dates like: 10/05/06, time changes as well
Will purchasing a good Registry Cleaner possibly resolve some/all of these issues?
Running Vista, laptop is only a year old.. Ran fine when purchased.
I’ve ran both then checked my registry and found that there’s still a trace of that software. Is there a registry cleaner better than these two?

is there any way i could get ahold of a registry cleaner that could either find unused registries (possibly give me a date of when htey were last used) or to find known unwanted registries( virus registries etc.) it would be greatly appreciated

I need a trustworthy registry cleaner that lets me clean the whole thing without the need to purchase the full program.
