My computer only has 40gb left of its 160 original for some reason even though i dont have much installed in it…all i need are the pics of me and my girlfriend ( not much more than 1gb) and all my school related files ( less then 100mb) both of which i am saving on my Flash Drive. I just want to know how do i clean it up and how many times i am supposed to do it since i heard something about having to do it 7 times…please explain.

the current OS on this computer is me and I have absolutely nothing on this computer that i need to back up and save.
what is the least complicated and inexpensive way to do a clean install of xp onto this computer?
I would like to run this computer on a network with my other computer that currently uses xp.
from what the xp disk says, I can't boot to the cd because it has a license restriction to the original computer. I had to order the recovery disks cause initially it was installed into the hard drive only.
My computer has been running very slowly lately. I have deleted many photos and videos but it still continues to run slowly. Is there anything I can do to get it faster or how to clean up the computer and get unwanted programs on my computer?
My Windows Xp Disk Cleanup is Taking Hours! And I have still not reached the screen to direct it what to clean up. It's been scanning. Is There a Better Way to Clean up the HD? If software is an idea; I'm on a budget. Preferably I'm looking for good ad-free freeware or very inexpensive software.
My computers been really choppy, slow and laggy lately. And it kind of irritates me. I think I have gotten several viruses and maybe some bad adware/spyware. I’m getting random pop ups some times and the computer is overall just a lot slower than normal. What programs should I use to get a good clean up to get my computer back to normal?
