Whenever I turn on my computer I get a message STOP:c0000218 and something else. I have tried logging in normally, in safe mode, and using my last good configuration, and none of them let me log in. Please do not tell me to download a registry cleaner, because I CANNOT log into windows to do it. Also, I don’t have a windows Vista disc to boot from.
Windows Vista Registry error?
What’s wrong with my Dell Inspiron 1501?
My computer won’t boot, it goes to a black screen with a blinking cursor in the top left corner. It will not give me the option for safe mode when holding F8. I’ve ran the diagnostics test fully and everything passes. So I assume it’s a software problem. I could reformat the computer but I don’t want to lose my data. Any ideas how to transfer the data if it comes down to it?
Problem logging on to Windows XP?
I ran MacAfee registry cleaner program and then re-started computer. The blue Welcome screen came up. When I tried to open my personal account it opened for a moment and then proceeded to logging off. I tried opening another account with the same results. Also tried to open in safe mode, last known settings, etc., etc., with no success. Does anyone know if I can change boot sequence? Do I need to reload XP? If so, do I need to reformat? Will rescue disc help?
