I have a Toshiba laptop and my CD/DVD drive suddently stopped being recognized by the computer. I was working with some DVD movie maker software to transfer old movies to DVD’s and now it’s like I don’t even have DVD drive. It worked a couple of days ago. Ran a diagnostic and it failed. Is there something I can do?
Pinnacle is the manufacturer of the software for the movie maker and they say that this is a common problem and says to change a particular item in the registry. I am very afraid to change anything in registry.

I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista.
Is there any way you can restore your registry, and would that help with my computer freezing up all the time?

My problem is stated below?

Whenever I am trying to format the hard disk of my toshiba laptop it is giving me the following message. Make sure any hard drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer and that any disk related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program.
Setup can’t continue. What would be the problem? May be the disk is sata if so then from where should I download the other softwares for it with the xpsp2 cd.

I have a Toshiba laptop and use the Wifi access. It seems like my computer has a rough time loading pages. Is there anything I can do to speed up my computer?

I have a Toshiba laptop running on Windows Vista. I also have Bell South Fast access DSL. When I first got everything I was able to run games like America’s Army perfectly on higher graphics. Now it seems everything is slower, and I have major lag problems in my video games.

Is there anything I can do (for free) to speed up my computer and internet?

Thanks in advance.
