I got a virus when I was trying to view a movie from a website when it asked me to download something for my window media player to play the movie. Then a window poped saying that my pc got a virus called Torjan. I tried to remove a suspicious program from the add & remove option but it never removed. I also tried to restore my pc and it didn’t work as well.

Well the thing is that different type of spyware keep poping up sayin i have adult content, but i havent gone on any porn site but i want to see if i can clean up my computer before i get a virus…or any thing like that …please help me

I have those annoying WinFixer Popups, and i want to get rid of them, along with some other popups (bad ones), and i also want to rid myself of the Blackberrry virus, which i am continually told has breached my computer. Windows Security center has told me that my computer has been breached and private information is being sent. It offers downloads like WinAntiVirus PRO. Are these really to remove viruses, or are they themselves just pieces of more spyware. I also believe i have a virus, because when i run Adaware SE,it always runs into one critical file in the first 60 or so seconds, and then my computer will basically go into classic mode, with a whitish colored taskbar at the bottom, and finally the computer will shut down. i cannot remove the virus with Adaware, since it shuts my computer down first. please give me some advice, especially if it solves both antivirus and popup issues, and please do not suggest Google Toolbar for popups, as i dont think it’ll be able to remove these.

while trying to delete some entries clean up a virus, I have accidentally deleted some entries that read something like %SystemRoot%\dll…..

After that, I am unable to download emails into my Outlook.

Is there anyway I can recover the deleted entries (which I cannot remember the path or value+data) without having to reformat my entire OS?

Thank you.

for example if I go to www.wikipedia.com it works. If i do a search on yahoo, google, etc and then try to go it does nothing just freezes and I have to reboot. This goes for any website or search I try to perform. No error messages just freezes up.

I have done spyware, malware, clean registry etc, cache, firewall turn off, run mcafee and windows programs reinstall etc. Please I need something more! Is this a virus? what else could it be? Everything else with the computer is fine not slow plenty of memory etc. Just the prob with the search.
