Hi, I've just got a new Acer Aspire 5672wlmi which didn't have any recovery or driver CDs. I clean installed Windows XP on a newly formatted hard drive.

For some reason, the computer can't detect the modem, sound card or wireless adapter. I've checked on the Acer website and it says this laptop has these devices. Just wondering if this is normal? Do we need to install the drivers for the computer to recognise the devices? I'm so confused…

A few months ago i did a little clean up….and i forgot how to do so. All i can remember was i THINK i cleaned up from the temp files maybe? It was files and pictures..etc…from even pictures i had already deleted and had been deleted from recycled bin…but were still in the computer files? So basically thats what i want to do……

I'm confused, so what i had done..is that what they call a disk clean up or what? Ahhh…..thankssssssssss!

Whatever kind of malware I have, it's not getting removed. I don't want to find my system restore discs or my XP disc, so is their a way through windows XP I can do a full destructive recovery? And still have XP after? Thanks!

My computer is horribly slow and i was suggested to wipe my computer. I need to know how to do this and i need to know how to back up files and programs. I have Windows XP Home.

I have a h p and the vista 64 bit recovery partition is already preinstalled. Whenever i restore my computer, it already has all the video drivers preinstalled. Now, If i wanted to format the partition and reinstall with a clean fresh install of windows xp.. Will i still have to reinstall all the video drivers, mouse drivers and everything again? If so, Where are some links that i can use to start downloading drivers
